During Messmer’s reign, an entity called the ‘Voidreaper’ seemingly stood by his side and climbed the ranks to ultimately become his right hand; the captain of the Fire Knight Army. You might however call the Voidreaper a “double agent”, as its intentions and plans were always rooted in something more sinister. See, the Voidreaper is not a person or a fire knight, but rather a demonic amalgamation from tortured souls originally trapped in the deepest pits of hell on a perpetual soul-reaping mission to fuel its power. What Messmer failed to realize – in time – is that the closest man to him was in fact going to be his downfall.
