EVERY Remembrance Boss + DLC Weapons and Items RANKED Worst to Best! Elden Ring

which Elden ring boss weapon is really the best now with the DLC included you can get a lot of different weapons and items by exchanging your remembrances for some power typically this means you can get something like an item such as a Talisman or even a consumable or an incantation or you can get the actual boss’s weapon and so with all of the new DLC bosses you can get a wide variety of new stuff and today we’re going to figure out which ones are actually the best and which ones you should probably stay far away from now obviously it’s hard to compare a weapon to something like an incantation or an item so what we’re going to do is start with all of the items ashes of war and incantations first and then move onto weapons all right so coming in as the most mediocre item on this list is going to be actually from Mor got’s remembrance and this is the Regal Omen Baron so this is weirdly a consumable item that uses a little bit of FP to summon these Spirits the thing is like you know we’re not talking about PVP here in inside of PVE this is absolutely pointless there are plenty of other spells and incantations that are going to do exactly this but significantly better I guess the only real upside is the fact that it doesn’t require a memory slot like you can put this you know near your Estus and whatever so it doesn’t actually like take up something that you could be running elsewhere but honestly it’s just not worth it it’s not very good you know in any kind of PVE scenario and uh I wouldn’t run this thing at all like if you have one remembrance of morgot the sword’s going to be better I’m just telling you that right now moving on to our next one here is actually an item from the DLC this is from the Divine dancing lion and this is the Talisman you can get so the enraged Divine Beast increases your storm potency potential by 10% which is pretty good you know for storm-based skills although they are a bit more rare it’s kind of a niche thing and unless you’re running something like black flame tornado or a few of the other storm spells it’s going to help marginally there and I think it is good but again it’s situational I wouldn’t even say this is bad necessarily it’s just not something that’s going to be applicable for most players right now coming up next is an item from The ancestral spe here this is the uh the Regal horn Talisman so this restores 3 FP per kill which sounds pretty good and I think for some weapons where you can spend a little bit of FP but kill a lot of small enemies this can be very good because there’s really you know you don’t get a bigger bonus for killing like a chunkier enemy for FP it’d be nice if you did but that’s not the case so if you’re killing lots of really squishy enemies at once you know and if you can use one skill that only takes a little bit of FP you can actually basically have infinite which is nice but uh I think for a lot of scen AR such as boss fights or even just stuff with fewer enemies this is really not worth it also in the DLC there’s the Blessed blue D Talisman which just consistently refreshes your FP over time meaning you don’t even have to get any kills I think I prefer this one personally even though this Talisman is decent in certain situations I can’t recommend it to everybody all right moving on though to our first incantation we have death lightning this is one you get from for toxs uh I’m not going to lie Lads it’s trash like it’s it’s garbage I mean it’s probably one of the worst abilities in the game like it looks cool sure I think it actually looks awesome but it’s incredibly low damage it’s very inconsistent obviously you’re not going to proc death blight on bosses you just can’t really do that so you know I think this is more of like a PVP thing but specifically for PVE you’re better off using literally anything else a wooden stick will be better as an incantation than death lightning all right so coming up next is actually an ash of war that you get from Estelle this is waves of Darkness I love how this looks and I love the concept of it and it’s pretty good uh for a couple of reasons but it’s still not what I would consider to be amazing the problem for me anyways is that it’s an ash of War where I can actually justify using this maybe if it was an incantation or even a sorcery but I don’t want to have to spend you know my ash of War slot infusing this on a weapon the good thing is it can build up a little bit of frostbite which is nice but again you know you’re better off using some kind of other incantation spell that’s just going to get the job done way faster I like the AOE effect you get a little bit of a delayed wave on the third one which is cool uh but outside of that it’s a cool visual spectacle but nothing really too practical or noteworthy next up we’ve got another Ash of War Divine Beast Frost stomp that you get from the uh Divine dancing lion is an ash of War you can put on almost any melee weapon it’ll do a lot of frost buildup and it can actually be buffed using some of the new DLC talismans that recently got added it’s pretty good uh I think it’s fun to use but it’s just again not something that I personally gravitate towards and again being an ash of War slot I just think there’s way more effective ones that you could been doing but if you like stomping around uh and you like casting frostbite on people then you’ll probably enjoy this one coming up just after that is Blades of stone this will summon a couple of different waves of rocks to spawn at your opponent which is really nice and it’s decent I would say but for a 48 intelligence requirement that’s pretty hefty and being not as effective as it should be I just don’t really have much use for Blades of stone I think there’s other stuff that I would gravitate towards um no pun intended I guess next up is another DLC in ation this is Vortex of putrescent so um the only cool thing about this is it can be casted from torrent which you know is a cool gimmick and that’s neat but uh other than that it’s completely pointless this does a little bit of magic damage and it creates this like ghost flame fire that rings in towards you and is a decent like reverse AOE I guess like that’s kind of sick in and of itself but for a pretty hefty intelligence and Faith requirement I think it’s downright pointless other than it kind of looks cool visually and you can c it from torrent that’s pretty much it there’s really nothing else to this one moving on to our next incantation is a fairly useful one this is the other option you’re going to get from for to sax which is lightning spear this will do a little bit of lightning damage but the great thing is you have these two lightning pillars or these Spears and if both of them hit you’re going to connect for 44 stance damage and that’s pretty damn good those are some solid numbers uh the thing is though you have to get fairly close in order to really connect these and you do get a little bit of like this AOE effect that protects you to some degree and you get a fair amount of super armor it has been buffed like somewhat recently so it’s a pretty solid option it’s not my favorite in the game and personally I don’t find myself using it a ton but I don’t dislike it and it’s not too bad uh next coming up we have burn o flame which is a item you get from the fire giant so this is a solid incantation and it’s got a very fast casting time while it doesn’t have like super armor when it’s starting up so you do need to be a little bit careful about that it comes out pretty quick and if this connects it deals 47 stance damage which uh I think is all the more worth it I think it’s a very good incantation all things considered not too expensive to use either and it’s quite protective especially when fighting multiple enemies at once you’re completely surrounded and the pillars do a good job of keeping you safe so coming up next we have reichards Rancor which is not awesome like I mean lza for being honest if the choice comes down to picking R card’s weapon or the sorcery uh the choice is pretty clear let’s just say that but uh I like I I think it’s all right I think the weirdest thing for me is that it’s not an incantation this is a sorcery so you know right card’s weapon being more faith-based you’d imagine this would be the same but it’s got a pretty beefy intelligence requirement and you know with that in mind I just don’t really think that this fits my play style I think where it really shines the trick with this is using it on bosses that are very stationary because essentially you’re going to get this skull explosion and then the fire afterwards is going to keep exploding giving you like like a multi-hit move and so you know that can deal a lot of fire damage and over time it’s pretty good but anything you know with a more mobile enemy they’re going to get out of the way of the multi-hit explosions just not really worth using uh I I I think it’s quite situational and with the intelligence requirement for this I’m just not really going to pick this up personally so coming up next is bal’s lightning now technically it’s not a remembrance boss like you don’t get a soul for this but you do get Bale’s heart and this can be exchanged at a dragon communion alter and then you can get an ability that is basically the same thing it’s it’s an it’s a you know remembrance with extra steps but Bales lightning I think is pretty average I think it’s solid there are other better Dragon options out there but it does a little bit of lightning damage and 30 stance damage and it travels pretty far and I would say is also consistently accurate I think it’s you know decently easy to use once you kind of get the hang of it not super expensive on your FP it’s got a decent amount of super armor it’s a solid ability but the weirdest part about it is that it’s not faith-based this is actually an uh an arcane based incantation so if you’re already running an Arcane build and you just simply don’t have the stats to run some of the more like Faith heavy ones you can still use bal’s abilities uh and and there’s really no barrier to entry there so all of Bale’s moves are Arcane based instead and that’s probably the only you know benefit it has to it really but they’re fine other than that coming up next is Midas flame of frenzy which is a solid incantation it’s just partially outclassed by you know other Madness proing abilities in the in the game uh I would say the upside to this one is that it’s you can hold it very consistently to a point where it’s almost inescapable it’s good against NPC enemies and I can see this having uses in PvP but if we’re just focusing on PVE there are other you know abilities that are going to proc Madness just faster and better and deal more damage but this one is fun to use the I guess the biggest problem is that it procs Madness on you very quickly there are Talisman to alleviate that to some degree uh and that can actually make this moderately useful and I think it’s enjoyable one I it’s just really fun but it’s not the best in the game next up is going to be rana’s twin moons this is probably one of the coolest looking abilities in the game and the first time you see it in the DLC it is absolutely insane uh and everybody wanted this move thank goodness we can use it but you know it doesn’t have the same impact because I think one of the issues is it doesn’t have the range you’d expect it to when the boss uses it it’s practically like a full screen move that’s just going to annihilate everything when you use it it’s like I don’t know maybe 20% of the range that youd expect for it it’s fair damage and you know being a multi-hit move it keeps you pretty safe however you can be knocked out of it in the air if you’re not careful doesn’t have an incredible amount of super armor so I think that can be kind of an issue uh and it’s got a pretty high intelligence requirement to begin with I think it’s fun uh I it’s an enjoyable spell to cast but is it just me or just does it feel a little disappointing to use after seeing how absolutely sick it is when Rana herself uses it and then when the tarnish pulls it out it’s like okay bro like you know I’ll calm down a little bit up next is rotten Butterflies from Romina saint of the bud and I would say this ability is inferior to Scarlet aonia in every single way imaginable statistically it just doesn’t proc a stronger version of scarlet rot as you know aonia does so you really don’t want to do this if you’re just worried about damage dealing and proing Scarlet rot also the problem is the boss most likely needs to stand inside of this like area for a pretty long time in order for this to actually take effect the only upside is I guess it kind of looks prettier maybe you know like sure it it looks nice but the other issue is Scarlet aonia has a lot of super armor whereas this does not you can get knocked out of this pretty easily bar none at the end of the day besides aesthetically rotten butterflies is worse than Scarlet aonia in every single way uh measurable so really you can skip on this one moving on to our next one we have bal’s tyranny once again the only upside to the other Bale incantation is this is Arcane based once again so you may just be able to use this for free depending on your build and it is pretty nice I would say it’s much better than the lightning I like the area of effect it has admittedly it’s not nearly as big as I would like this to be you know again in the Boss Arena it looks insane it feels like it covers a ton but this just doesn’t really translate all that well it does decent damage and can absolutely knock over some weaker enemies and even bosses uh can absolutely stun them so I think it’s got a lot of use especially just for like you know if you’re getting pressured too much it’s a decent move to cast doesn’t have the most amount of super armor ever but uh if you manage to get this ability off then you’re going to be more than fine for the next couple of seconds it’s solid uh just not my favorite moving on is ral’s full moon I keep wanting to mix up Rana and rala I know y’all be doing that too but uh ral’s full Moon is really good and it’s you know obviously one of the heaviest intelligence requirements in the game along with her scepter using it with the scepter boosts the potency of this which is very nice and the moon will also slightly debuff the enemy which is quite a nice bonus and if it pairs well with your already intelligence-based build this is a solid one to use uh I don’t really have much to complain about here coming up next is placu Sax’s ruin now I’m going to be honest Lads I think this is one of my favorite ones to look at I just think it has so much potential it looks fun it’s awesome uh but the issue is here for some reason this does not scale with the dragon communion seal for for whatever reason I mean this is a dragon and it’s a dragon ability so you know those things would go hand inand but for some reason it doesn’t get buffed by that I don’t really know why that drives me crazy and I think if it did get buffed this would probably be a top ability in the game but the other issue is that it it it’s very hard to aim like it goes in a very strange pattern where you can lock on to an enemy and if you can get like the cross of every laser to hit you can deal basically 70 stance damage which is crazy numbers but that is somewhat inconsistent it’s very boss or enemy dependent and it’s not the most reliable thing in the world it’s amazing but not incredibly assistent next is land of Shadow this is acquired from the shadow tree Avatar this is his ability so this incantation I actually really like uh it’s basically Elden Stars if it wasn’t mid uh it’s very good it’s a it’s it’s a multi-hit move that deals holy damage it’s got a pretty good AOE on Startup uh honestly solid ability uh for whether it’s multiple enemies or even just fighting a boss will deal very consistent damage and not too expensive to cast whatsoever uh I think this is actually an underrated option I find myself really enjoying this one and uh I there’s really no complaints here for me I think it’s amazing moving on to our next one is blood Boon this is what you get from M and this incantation unironically is really good uh I I wasn’t convinced of its potential at first but now after playing with it a bit more it doesn’t look like visually incredible it just looks kind of basic but this is great because it deals very solid fire damage and also if you can you know basically put some Splash damage on the ground for your enemies to be standing in for long periods of time it’ll deal damage over time and build up blood loss which that’s just what you need to melt and decimate things and not to mention maybe the best aspect is that it’s really quick and cheap to cast and that’s amazing because we all like cheap you know just ask my boy Mr Krabs he he knows about it coming up next is mesmer’s orb this is in the DLC obviously you’ll get it from you know from from esmer that’s that’s pretty obvious but uh basically this is a very good incantation and one of my favorite this orb uh actually has incredible tracking and very good damage it’s got a decent amount of super armor but not the most you can get knocked out of this which is somewhat frustrating especially enemies that throw projectiles that can be kind of annoying because you really do want to be fully charging this orb you can do it without charging and it’s still going to deal a fair bit of damage but not as much as if you you know have that extra second in the air so you’re really going to want to make sure that you’re not going to get knocked down but if you can pull that off then this is a very solid ability great incantation fairly High Faith requirement a little bit expensive to use perhaps but I would say all the well worth it all right up next is horal Lo’s Earth Shaker this is really good uh I actually didn’t expect to like this so much this is an ash of War you can apply and it deals solid damage great stance and is usable on almost anything you know I feel like this could realistically be a go-to for many strength based builds because you’re going to get more Effectiveness out of this hash of war with that so uh I think this is probably where it shines most you got that extra follow-up attack for more damage it’s pretty cheap to use as well and I have like virtually zero complaints I mean you know thumbs up for me all right almost at the top of our list for incantations next is Scarlet aonia this is barnun like easily the best incantation for proing scarlet rot period like no questions about it you’re going to get tons of super armor a great AOE and proc a very potent version of rot against regular enemies or bosses alike I it’s obviously pretty expensive to cast uh I don’t think there’s any doubt about that but compared to other ones you could be using like rotten butterflies or whatever Scarlet aonia is just like top tier and it’s pretty incredible so anyways coming up next we have a very strange one and I wasn’t sure where to put it because I don’t think it’s my favorite at the moment but I think it’s got the potential to be amazing this is light of Micha you get this from promised consort redon after defeating him so this has an insane Faith requirement at 72 and it deals lots of holy damage now this can be buffed a little bit through you know a couple of talismans but weirdly enough it doesn’t get buffed by Mika’s armor I don’t know why I couldn’t tell you I don’t know if that’s not intended or if that’s just going to be something that they look at later on I have no clue because from the description it says that it annihilates foes in a pillar of Lights which it kind of does you know visually and the damage is fine I guess but I think it could be better you get the initial hit that casts like straight away and can pretty much track them anywhere which is essentially free damage and then it also gets these extra pillars of Holy Light that come down and deal additional you know chip damage as well which is solid but even if that doesn’t land the big blast does a ton I just feel like this should do a little more than it does for what it requires fires and how expensive it is it’s a lot of fun and I hope it gets better but uh it’s one to keep your eye on all right but finally the best incantation and ability you can get from a boss is easily Black Blade from malakith so this is a way to proc destined death onto an enemy and which will sap their uh entire health bar for 2 seconds and will cap out 10% of their maximum Total Health this thing is insane it decimates bosses beyond belief and is still absolutely so powerful you can swing this once and also do a follow-up attack for another hit uh it it it makes the game easy mode I’m not going to lie it deals holy damage and even though holy isn’t the best against many of the major bosses in Elden ring uh I think there’s no case in which this doesn’t still absolutely slap it’s really good and as far as all of the boss items go that are not weapons then this is easily the best but let’s move on to the actual weapons this is where things get very interesting so Lads um I uh just got news I’m I I got to go M the lawn I mean it’s a nice day out so I’m just going to go knock this out really quick but uh we’re going to continue ranking the weapons um I’m going to let my girlfriend do it real quick so uh I’ll be back in a bit hey friends uh we are going to be starting at the bottom of the list with the quote worst boss weapon this is going to be the Giants red braid this is a whip type weapon which isn’t usually the best it has pretty poor damage and really mediocre scaling it has split damage with fire so it scales with strength faith and decks its Ash of War ability is not very good cuz it’s too long so it doesn’t deal very much stance damage and I am contractually obligated to say this next line which is if you’re using a fire-based whip that’s kind of your fault next on our list is the winged Great Horn this weapon is acquired through the ancestral Spirit boss it’s unfortunately a painfully average grade ax its Ash of War ability emits a cloud that debuffs enemies by around 10% and that sounds good until you you consider that it’s way more efficient to just buff yourself instead it’s got very average scaling and it’s pretty unremarkable outside of the fact that according to Chopper it kind of looks cool I would disagree the whip looked cooler all right I was told that this will be the most difficult one to get through so if I do manage to pull this out feel free to leave a comment about how Brave I was uh we are going to talk about the redon sords that you acquire from promised consort redon now you can get two versions of these one of light and one of Lord now unfortunately these both deal less physical damage than the star Scourge one they both have identical stats as far as scaling they’re both split damage with magic and scale with intelligence for some reason the light sword Ash of war is mediocre at best and embarrassing at worst I’m so sorry redon I didn’t write this for how cool these swords look when fighting redon this one falls short the Lord version of The Sword again deals less physical and stance damage than the star Scourge one the ash of war is much better though it is a multi-hit attack with residual holy damage it’s better than the light sword but these are still both pretty not great in my opinion because I I wrote this next continuing our Trend with the DLC remembrance weapons is going to be the shadow sunflower Blossom now I’m I’m looking at it right now and it is it’s it’s just a plant but apparently we get this from the shadow tree Avatar this weapon is fun if you want to Bonk things on the head with a big flower the unfortunate thing is though it has some odd properties firstly it scales with strength faith and decks it has already a pretty high Faith requirement to use at all but the weirdest part is its Ash of war is pretty much pointless it’s a multi-hit bonk style move that deals holy damage as well as physical so it can be buffed with holy talismans if you want but the charged heavy R2 attacks are going to be quicker and deal more physical and stance damage alone than the ash of War ability making it completely pointless it’s super fun for sure but not an actual remarkable weapon for its performance um I will say y’all kind of lost me with this flower thing so I’m I’m going to hand it back off to Shopper nice talking with you guys all right lad sorry I’m back uh lawn’s mode you know it’s looking fresh you know what I’m saying uh we’re all good thank you to my wonderful girlfriend for holding it down but anyways let’s uh get back on track here let’s talk about the gazing finger this weapon is strange man uh this comes from the metor mother of fingers remembrance and I’m going to be honest all the options out of this are they’re pretty mid I’m not going to lie Lads uh this they’re both bad I mean the staff we don’t even really need to talk about there’s not much going on there but the weapon itself is an interesting colossal weapon however it’s split with magic damage but the weird thing is it does have a unique R2 follow-up heavy attack which is pretty nice but the ash of war is unironically really good however it deals holy damage in this wave instead and I I don’t really understand why that choice was made exactly it makes this weapon not really have a niche in my opinion I just haven’t really found much function for this it’s also really kind of ugly looking I don’t know like it’s a it’s not the most aesthetically pleasing Weapon It’s kind of odd and strange and that kind of sums up the entire weapon honestly from its looks to its mechanics as well I just look at it and think like why all right moving on to the axe of godric this is a great Axe with very mediocre scaling just with strength and decks and even then it’s not going to give you that much benefit compared to some other ones I think it’s a pretty decent early game weapon to use or one that you’re going to acquire quickly and will probably get a lot of use in the mid game out of but it quickly gets outclassed by a lot of other options you know in the game as you progress forward it does have a unique R2 like cross slash attack and that feature makes it pretty good by itself but the other thing is it’s Ash of War I command the Neil is genuinely really good I wouldn’t expect an ash of War to go this hard on a mediocre weapon like this but I command the Neil is great the only problem is like it does stellar damage I’m not going to lie it’s pretty pretty impressive but it comes out in three slams and you really want to be landing that third one the issue is it takes a long time to come out that third slam deals more damage than the first two combined but you are very unlikely to have enough Breathing Room during a boss fight to really get all three slams of this move off and it can be very easily interrupted so it’s pretty unlikely that you’re ever going to get that third hit but if you do consider yourself a lucky man all right fellas next is going to be the pole blade of the bud this is what you get from romina’s uh remembrance and this weapon solid I mean it’s a Halbert so you’re going to have that move set now the ash of war is the most interesting thing about it because you get a lot of movement from this thing I’m not going to lie for any sort of encounters where you want to be mobile and moving around a lot this can be very good it can get interrupted a little bit but it seems to have some degree of super armor just not the most out of you know every other weapon that we can talk about on here but I think its strength is fundamentally sweeping up smaller enemies now it also deals a little bit of scarlet rot buildup for every single hit which is nice but unfortunately it doesn’t swing fast so it’s going to take a little while plus it’s not that potent of a version of rot you’re much better off using the incantation Scarlet aonia to proc the most heavy version of rot and this pole blade is kind of null at that point like it’s fun and especially the ashore is very good for movement and getting around and not to mention it’s got pretty bad scaling so there’s not a whole lot you can do to really like change the effectiveness and bolster the damage of this uh what you get is essentially what you’re going to receive and it’s fine it’s usable but it’s not spectacular speaking of cool and gimmicky and fun but not really practical is the lion great bow the ash of War makes it so that you know great arrows can rain down on your target dealing tons of damage especially when paired with the aot Talisman that is absolutely insane but again once again I always ask who’s actually using bows in 2024 this is the only use case I could realistically see is just sort of spamming the ash of war with either redon’s great Spears or just some other kind of gray Arrow you can get decent damage out of it and it can be fairly consistent but I don’t know I think there’s other ways to accomplish this goal that don’t require using the great bow it’s got pretty average scaling you know nothing really remarkable there uh and that’s really all you need to know about it it’s fine and it’s usable on average it’s it’s good I guess all right moving on to godric’s other option this is the grafted Dragon unfortunately H I just don’t have that much good things to say about it it’s cool I guess it’s like a fist weapon but that can’t be two-handed which is rather unfortunate it’s got decent scaling admittedly uh and with faith you can actually Boler the damage of this thing quite a lot the ash of war is unironically great like the ability is fantastic that’s the only practically useful aspect of this weapon uh you’re just going to be spamming L2 quite a lot and that can work you know for a lot of bosses in this game Who especially ones who are weak to fire this will deal some damage for sure uh and it’s cool it’s fun but not one of my favorite weapons I would say it’s pretty middle of the road as far as all of the boss weapons go moving on we have the put tressence Cleaver which unfortunately if it wasn’t split damage with magic I think maybe one of my favorite grade axes it’s so weird though like I I think the magic split damage is the thing that hurts it for me the most it’s got pretty good scaling and does frost buildup not a crazy amount but enough to sort of make a difference but it has an actually insane Ash of War just look at this thing man like uh you’ll get a lot of stance damage from the initial hit and then you can keep pressing the button and following it up with these slices that just look absolutely ridiculous I cannot believe this is a real animation uh it makes me laugh every time I use it it’s just insane I think there’s a lot of wasted potential like because I just prefer not to use split damage weapons so it’s not going to be something that’s very meta but it’s funny it’s different and it’s Unique for sure after this though we have rana’s twin blades which are light greatswords and these are some of the most unique weapons in the game for a couple of reasons so you can two-and these and obviously these are split damage with magic and fire and that’s cool I guess it also scales with strength decks intelligence and Faith so there’s a lot of ways to try to bolster the damage of this they’re pretty light as well which is nice and the other thing is that there’s quite interesting ways you can go about using these now obviously you can just swing them normally without any effects or you can hold a stance and by pressing R1 you can throw these sort of magic slices and then using R2 you can have this flame tornado that deals a lot of fire damage and you can use these in conjunction with each other I found personally that this really isn’t my favorite weapon to use against boss fights but for clearing out Dungeons and fighting normal enemies I honestly can’t think of very many better options I just like the versatility that this weapon has being very good up close and also having some range that you can throw at other enemies very rapidly I might add uh so it’s a quick easy fun weapon to use I think a lot of people are going to enjoy this one I just think it’s held back a little bit and outclass by some of the vanilla weapons in Elden ring next up is the axe of Godfrey I like it a lot more than godrick even though this is not a great axxe this is technically a colossal weapon now I would say the ash of War I’m not sure if I like better uh godrick has I command the Neil which is amazing this one has Regal Roar which can be buffed through certain talismans which will buff you and give off this really nice AOE the weapon itself just deals Straight Up physical damage scales fairly nice with strength and decks so pretty straightforward it’s just like a melee only build there’s really nothing to this one anything intricate or crazy very respectable stance damage as well on the higher end of weapons for sure I really don’t have very many complaints with the axe of Godfree like if you’re going for just a melee build and that’s really it you’re got the gigachad build going on it’s a very solid option at this point I’d definitely say we’re at the higher end of weapons and this next one is going to be what you get from placu saxs This Is The Dragon King crack blade this is actually a heavy thrusting sword which will determine its move set but it does have a unique R2 attack which is nice and it really only scales with decks I mean maybe a little bit of strength but even then that’s debatable it has split damage with lightning unfortunately I wish it was all physical but I understand the L2 ability the ash of war is it’s really good Thundercloud form is awesome you basically become invincible for a little bit or at least as far as your stance goes you’re not going to get knocked out of this thing at all virtually infinite super armor but the problem is this has been nerfed recently uh it doesn’t deal nearly as much stance as it did before and there are other better options that now outclass this one but it is multi-hit so if you have talismans that can buff multi-hit moves this technically is while you’re in the cloud so you can get a little bit of use out of that I think it’s really good I think it’s slightly above average still not my favorite weapon in the game just for a variety of reasons but it’s nice and I’ll pull it out occasionally and it’s fun to use all right up next is a very unique one and this is the sword Lance you get from Commander gas the interesting thing about this weapon is this is the only remembrance weapon period that is actually infusible and is upgraded through regular smithing Stones not through somber ones the only reason that is is because you can actually put a different Ash of War on it but the one it comes with which is spinning gravity thrust is pretty much the placu saxs move but uh arguably better not to mention it’s not split damage and it scales very nicely with strength so you can do some crazy things through infusion on this and you can get creative with this one it’s got a somewhat unique move set but I think the sword Lance is definitely uh one you can very much make into your own next is a DLC weapon that is pretty unique but very flawed as well this is the great sort of damnation that you get from midra so the thing is I want to like this sword a lot more I it’s a regular great sword so you know it’s just going to have that same old move set but the UN fortunate thing is it’s really not built for PVE in this game it’s split with holy damage and you know many bosses in this game just aren’t particularly vulnerable to that so you’re going to have a lot of wasted potential by using this and the weird thing is like the ash of war is good it’s definitely more for like fighting NPCs and stuff like that not amazing for bosses or anything you get this what is otherwise a grab attack but if you press it again then you’ll get these spikes to come out of the ground the thing that I feel would really take this to the next level is if it were Madness buildup every time you you know land a hit with this I don’t know why it’s not I feel like it should be but uh it just doesn’t proc Madness at all for some reason I love the weapon otherwise but for me that is an undeniable attribute that is going to hold it back maybe if they you know changed it in update or something where it procs a little bit of Madness I think that would take this almost a top tier but as of sits right now it’s still above average but not spectacular all right coming up next though we have the bastard Stars this is the weapon you get from Estelle which you know Estelle is one of the visually most impressive bosses in the game and I would say that’s true for the weapon as well I love looking at this thing it’s fun to use it’s actually a flail weapon type so it’s going to scale very oddly with uh decks and strength but it scales very nicely with intelligence and that’s good because the ash of War which is called nebula this thing is great man you get this big giant Arc of this like nebulus Cloud that deals a pretty respectable amount of damage and not to mention you get some good movement off of it unfortunately basically every aspect of this this is outclassed by wing of aelle this weapon unfortunately does it better in just about every single capacity stance damage regular damage alike uh but it’s fun to use you know bastard stars is way more swaggy at least and uh and it might be worth running simply for that aspect alone but uh flails have gotten buffed somewhat recently but still it’s not enough of a buff to really fundamentally change the move set and it still does get outclassed by some other weapon type sadly all right next is the hand of melenia this is a katana with a pretty hefty deck requirement but it scales somewhat mediocrely with everything else and it does have a passive bleed buildup with every hit which is very nice but unfortunately it’s not enough to really make a difference and it also doesn’t scale with Arcane which is very disappointing because it would have made that bleed so much better on this weapon but that’s not really the selling point obviously waterfoul dance is the entire reason to use the hand of melenia it’s an absolutely insane Ash of war and it does amazing damage but the problem is it’s quite easy to get knocked out of this I mean like a summer ant breathing on you will probably knock you out of your entire animation which is unfortunate because when you’re fighting melenia herself it’s pretty hard to knock her out of water fou dance once it starts up but uh you have to be very careful about how you use this and it’s also very expensive on your stamina it’s great against NPC style enemies but any kind of like major heavy bosses That Swing quickly you’re most likely never going to get your full combo off so the damage potential of this is quite limited all in all though for builds I still think it’s worth using it’s a solid option to have not my favorite Katana in the game but water fou dance is one that you really can’t pass up on all right getting into our high tier weapons next is malak’s Black Blade so this has the death and death Ash of War baked into it with this big AOE effect you do get a hit box on this weapon startup and this initial hit can deal a lot of damage now this is split with holy so you’re going to get some physical and holy which again you know how I feel about that with a lot of the bosses in Ed ring so it scales pretty nicely with strength faith and decks uh so this is still going to be a very potent weapon I think the best part about it is death and death is going to basically reduce that 10% cap and drain their health for a couple of seconds I don’t know if it’s just me but the AOE can feel a little misleading uh based on like where it visually is versus what it damaged the boss at so that can be a little bit strange and confusing but all around this is an absolutely incredible weapon I think it’s one of my favorite to use and uh the only downside really to mention is that the actual you know death death move doesn’t have that much super armor it’s very easy to get knocked out of this thing unfortunately or even after the first initial hit of your move you can get knocked out of it quickly preventing that AOE from coming out that’s frustrating but other than that I think it’s a great weapon moving on to a weapon that surprised me I slept on hammers pretty much all of Elden Ring’s life cycle until I got put onto America’s hammer and damn it chat I’m not going to lie this one’s sick uh this is probably the only Hammer that I would consider is worth using or at least is certainly the most fun the thing is it’s got the opposite problem of Malik’s Black Blade this ash of War has like infinite super armor you’re never getting knocked out of this thing the moment you touch that button the move is coming out and it has very solid tracking you get this giant holy slam on the ground obviously you know it’s goes without saying this is split with holy damage and even though split holy damage weapons can be hit or miss for me this one I think is more on the money and it more than makes up for in physical because it scales very nicely with strength I really don’t have very many negative things to say about it it’s got decent stance damage especially with the ash of war and so I think you’re going to find a lot of success for this it’s not the most cutout thing for you know fighting bosses that are particularly resistant to Holy but even then I think the physical can still carry those fights all right Lads let’s talk about it a personal favorite of mine is morgot cursed sword so this is actually a curved great sword and this actually has the biggest hit box of any curved great sword in the entire game and it’s got a very low weight which is a good combination to have the thing is though it’s not only got amazing physical damage it has a great Gap closer Ash of War which basically does this like blood flame slice and you can do a follow-up attack to really chase down enemies I think the Gap closing you know capability of this is really what separates it and makes it a good move it’s obviously going to do passive bleed buildup which you can get a lot of use case out of this especially with that Ash of War and the other amazing aspect is that this weapon does extra critical damage so this is one of the few boss weapons that actually deals over like the the normal amount and so if you pair this with this tesman that deals 177% more critical damage you can get some crazy numbers by Just Landing a stance break Critical with morg Go’s cursed sword it’s insane uh I absolutely love this thing easily a top tier weapon of the entire game period don’t sleep on this one uh you know his actual other option out of his remembrance may not be very good but this sword is worth your time so after that we have the classic star Scourge great sword so we talked about the redon ones from the DLC already or I I guess my girlfriend did but basically the problem with those is that they just don’t deal near as much damage as these ones do they do have the same property which I forgot to mention is that you can have one and and power stance them if you just simply two-hand it which is really cool so you’ll get some additional damage there I would say star carler cry which is the ash of waren here is just simply much better you get a gravity pull which does hella damage and just pulls them in and then you get a giant slam followup if you want to do that now it’s also buffable through the roar Medallion which is great uh I I feel like the star Scourge great swword is very complementable um you know with a lot of Talisman setups the other thing is it scales pretty nicely with everything and it does have split damage with magic which you know that it is what it is but it just goes to show how solid of a weapon the star skirt sword is I wish the redon ones were better you know in the DLC but they’re just not I I would go with this one if you’re just looking for Effectiveness and damage output coming up after that almost at the top of our list this is the best one from the DLC in my opinion this is Mesmer spear I love this thing man it’s a great spear weapon type so it’s going to have that move set now it does have a few exceptions to that which we’ll talk about in a second it it scales very decently with strength decks and faith and it does split damage with fire but the scaling I think more than makes up for it now unfortunately the ash of War consumes a lot of stamina and it’s pretty lengthy and is interruptible it’s sort of like you know water foul dance in that way however if you are able to get the whole combo off plus all of the hits it’s absolutely unreal damage if you land a full Mesmer assault you’re going to get Hella stance damage out of it too so I feel like this one is just an absolutely amazing pick now with the heavy attack it actually has a unique thing where you can do this on torrent or on the ground you can just throw the spear as a free projectile and it’ll come back to your hand now this consumes tons of stamina however it can be buffed by the smithing Talisman and the axe Talisman only real downsides to speak of are the pretty hefty Faith requirements and also I’ve noticed the tracking depending on the enemy type on Mesmer assault can be a little bit wonky so uh you know you really want to make sure you’re Landing all the hits that’s how to maximize the potential out of this thing but otherwise I very much enjoy it I think it’s one of the best weapons in the game and uh you cannot go wrong with this thing now getting into our top three weapons of all Rememberance spases in Elden ring this one is going to be the sacred Relic sword so this is a normal great sword as well you know similar to a lot of them but the interesting thing about this is on paper it doesn’t look that remarkable and you know it’s physical with split damage with holy looks kind of average or even maybe a little mediocre maybe a bit below but the thing that fundamentally changes this weapon is waves of gold I think this is easily the best weapon in the game for Dungeon clearing and you know just normal room clearing all that stuff you cast this once a giant wave of gold comes out and absolutely annihilates anything in its path you wouldn’t expect the damage on this thing to be so beefy but it scales entirely with faith this ability does so it’s worth just going all in on that and really you know beefing up that damage it’s good against bosses too and not to mention if that fails for some reason the physical damage of the sword is still really solid like I think this is just a great choice and I don’t think there’s many downsides to the sacred Relic sword obviously you have to beat the final boss in the game to beat it once but I mean other than that it’s very easy to use it feels like a very brain dead weapon though I’m not going to lie you click one button and the whole room dies that’s it’s pretty much how it goes but you know it’s really good so if that’s what you’re looking for then by all means use the sacred Relic sword but coming in at number two we have MN spear this is another very op weapon in Elden ring and the only reason for that is not just because it is a spear and it has that move I mean the actual move set I think is pretty mediocre it’s okay and it deals Fair stance damage and has decent scaling like the actual physical aspect of the weapon is fine and I would say even a little bit above average but obviously what makes this weapon a menace is blood Boon ritual but you might be saying well hang on a second Chopper blood moon ritual is like one of the longest damn animations in the whole game and you can get knocked out of it just like you would any other ability and to that I would say you are correct but for any kind of enemy that is easily stunned by a normal hit or anything blood Boon ritual is just going to straight up lock them down like they won’t be able to do anything and obviously if you manage to get the third blood pull of this animation it takes a long time to get there but if you get here you can hold this it’s very prolonged and you can just absolutely drain their HP like it’s kind of it’s kind of broken like broken is not even the right word this thing uh I don’t know how it’s not been nerfed it’s pretty crazy and it scales with Arcane so uh you can get pretty illegal with this uh with this weapon skill and that’s really all there is to it it’s one of the best weapons in the game period but finally LS the moment you’ve all been waiting for the best boss weapon in the whole game is still the Blasphemous blade even though it’s got a little bit nerfed recently that still hasn’t taken it out of its number one spot it’s that good uh I mean honestly for a lot of reasons obviously the weapon skill which is taker’s flame is crazy scals completely off faith and does Unbelievable damage like it’s classified as a normal great swword there’s genuinely nothing normal about this weapon it also grants you more HP per kill so it’s great for Dungeon clearing too like usually something’s good at defeating bosses or clearing out dungeons those are typically mutually exclusive things but not with the Blasphemous blade it just decides to do both so and the health recovery is also pretty potent and very generous so I mean there’s really no beating this thing it’s genuinely one of the it’s the best weapon I mean as far as boss weapons go maybe even the best weapon in Elden ring it’s insane if you want to make the game easy baby mode then you can use this thing or if you’ve already played it a number of times and just want to be op I mean right guard’s sorcery is not awesome but this weapon sure damn is I mean there’s really no contending that unfortunately it pains me to report that none of the DLC weapons really besides Mesmer and palor ended up being like super top tier I was expecting a little bit more even from the redon swords I wish those were some of the best in the game but they’re just not Blasphemous blade is your king and probably always will be so anyways guys that is my list that is every single Elden ring remembrance item ranked from worst to best I hope
