So… Is The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC STILL Happening In 2024?
so the internet is panicking over the lack of Marvel Spider-Man 2 DLC and I’m not talking about uh suit DLCs or anything like that like the ones that we got with the collaboration suits but I’m talking about post game content in terms of additional story quests story missions and I guess extra suits tied to those things because if you remember city that never sleeps DLC and all of those uh postlaunch DLCs that Marvel Spider-Man remastered got those were announced before the release of Marvel spider remastered but nowadays um it seems that Sony’s taking a different approach and I’m going to experience the greatness that is this game so now that we’re here let’s talk about a different game for the second because I want make a point in regards to Marvel Spider-Man 2 DLC if you look at God of War ragnaroks release date this game launched on 9th of November 2022 for you know PS4 and PS5 and then the DLC for this game Val Hala uh well yeah it released a whole year later so Sony’s not a s like they’re not shying away from announcing and releasing DLC even a year later and you got to remember that insomnia games was hacked and so many things were leaked that shouldn’t have been leaked and a lot of people saw things that shouldn’t have been seen and when it comes to the DLC side of things it’s like I think a lot of the community got to remember none of this stuff was promised to begin with um of course the whole you know like new game plus uh league for the DLC was a bit you know like that kind confirms that it exists because they left a debug menu in the game that sort of gave us a look at a future DLC so I don’t think DLC is not happening okay I think that it could still definitely happen however the community is she’s got to be patient right like if you go to you know spam Insomniac to ask for DLC that’s not going to help anybody you’re just going to stress them more out and you know we don’t want that for them they’re recovering from this whole hack and it’s absolutely awful what they had to go through like I don’t wish that upon anybody because you know you’ve got all your private information who knows what was compromised and that kind of hack would completely derail any plans that they’ve had and would set them back months maybe even a year which is why when it comes to the current Marvel Spider-Man 2 sort of updates that we have gotten a lot of things break because I think they’ve only got a couple of people working on the sort of bug fixes and things like that as well as like costumes while everything else is going on in the background because at the moment even like with their tweets that they’ve said that they are completely focusing on Marvel Wolverine at the moment and things like that because you know we haven’t even gotten any gaml of that whatsoever beyond the actual initial like reveal trailer um so there’s a lot of things for them to do now the things that I expect from a potential DLC is probably the to like tie up the whole symbiot like loose end with you know Carnage and the Crimson hour um obviously we still have the chameleon like story line that’s got to continue um and then there’s also the fact that this could have been delayed and completely canceled and want I say canceled I mean if it did get canceled in some de would easily just repurpose this DLC and make a sort of like M Morales esque sort of like game and they did show interest in venom as many of you guys know so they could quite potentially make a Venom game that’s the size of you know what the mil Morales game was a couple of years back and we could easily end up having a Venom game with Venom playable of course like the and that could be an absolute good time over there you know you get to play as Venom they’ve even had lots of concept art for Venom and how the game could play how things could work um concept moves and things like that and we all know that Venom’s not done for right like we did see the Sim vaporiz and Harry in a coma but a coma a coma however I feel like the whole symbiote bond with him is much deeper than we think and because that symbiosis was perfect and Harry got revived it is easily possible that with Peter and um miles sort of Reviving Harry it like that symbiot Venom symbiot could easily have been revived and maybe after that Meo got destroyed because if you saw like Venom was acting very uncharacteristic and just trying to heal the world quote unquote very similar to what null would do when he would possess Symbio in comics um and control them it feels like null had like control over the symbiots here with the meteor and once the meteor got destroyed then it seems that Venom could now actually have its own personality and not really control the person that is wearing the suit more so having inputs in them having like a symbiosis a proper symbiosis so both of them are in control when it comes to the whole thing which would be interesting and I want to I want to hear you guys’ thoughts in the comments below do you guys think that we’re just going to get all this quote DLC in a standalone Venom game where we’re going to still be able to play as Peter and miles or do you think that the DLC is still coming because there’s still a lot of potential for either thing either a DLC or uh um a Venom game but I wouldn’t rule out the DLC at all and I think people just need to relax and calm down and just go play some other games in the meantime as we wait because like right now I’m playing a ton of different games and one of them being you know honkai styl which is the your time so you know just stay patient wait for the DLC we’re definitely going to hear something at some sort of uh event because actually as it turns out with PlayStation I completely forgot to mention PlayStation is exhibiting at the Tokyo game show 2024 as a general exhibitor for the first time since 2019 which is absolutely huge and this could be the place that we actually end up getting some Marvel Spider-Man 2 you know DLC news or potentially like Marvel’s Wolverine or the Venom game announcement and things like that this a whole lot of potential and if you’re wondering when this is actually coming out the Tokyo game show takes place uh on the 26th of September 2024 which is Thursday and then it runs all the way through until Sunday the 29th of September so still a bit of a weit but like I said play some other games there’s a lot of fun games out there to play there’s a lot of fun things to do lots of shows to watch so just take it easy enjoy life until then and then you know As far as we know all of the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 promised DLC has been revealed such as the Kid Super suits and the free suits we got, however there is no news on any potential DLC such as how it used to be with Marvel’s Spider-Man The City That Never Sleeps DLC. The New Game Plus update did reveal a planned DLC in the files of the game but we have no idea if its now scrapped or pushed towards a potential Marvel’s Venom Game or Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, however we do know that Playstation will be at the Tokyo Games show in the first time since 2019. Which is incredible and could possibly reveal the DLC plans that include Carnage, Chameleon and other possible characters.
