USB probably incompatible or not yet formatted. At least that’s what happened to me last time I tried moving storage around.

This happened to me, do you have a y cable connector? You need one as the Wii u’s USB ports don’t output enough power to run a USB storage device unless it is on its own power supply, if you have any questions feel free to ask
