have you ever noticed that nintendo 3ds console presented at E3 2010, had a blue joystick?
I have even noticed this difference in the advertising of the console prior to its commercialization.
Do you know why this change was made?

Assuming the material was still the same rubber used in the retail version, it was possibly less durable due to mixing it with the dye to make it match the console. Otherwise it could have been the same harder plastic as the console itself and offered little to no grip.
