I recently booted up my old 3ds ant started playing mariokart 7 again, but I noticed that it sounded a lot cleaner than on my new 3ds xl, so I did an test and I found out that it IS cleaner than on the new 3ds xl, I have a video to prove this. I set both 3ds’ on full volume and booted up calamari desert, both with the same cart. Check it out:

If the video doesn’t work I have uploaded a YouTube video, check that out here: [https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P0nF5TtCh0w&pp=ygUiem9vbWluZyBvcmlnaW5hbCAzZHMgc291bmRzIGJldHRlcg%3D%3D](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P0nF5TtCh0w&pp=ygUiem9vbWluZyBvcmlnaW5hbCAzZHMgc291bmRzIGJldHRlcg%3D%3D)
i think because of wider screen they needed to use smaller speakers or maybe thinner ones idk but thats a reason i never liked the xl’s
It could be. For example, I know by experience that the OG DS Fat speakers are a shit ton louder and sound a lot more clear than the DS Lite ones
I had a tinny sounding and kinda blown out right speaker on my Metroid new 3ds XL. Sent it to Nintendo, they fixed it. Might be a defective speaker.
I agree the O3DS has the best speaker of the 3DS Models. It also is the best built unit. I Just played one or two hours of OoT on it and I Always notice how it feels much sturdier than the N3XL. It’s got the sleekest design of any Nintendo handheld imo, except for the GBA SP maybe.
