Why do some games that have Trading Cards not have that listed under their features in the sidebar of their store page?

Sorry for the confusing title, but I've noticed with a lot of games that they may have trading cards and badges, but that's not listed as a feature on their store page.

For example, this game from the latest Humble Monthly Choice, Zoeti, does not have trading cards listed on its store page:

But you can see it does have cards, and it has a badge page here:

Is it up to the dev to list what features they have? I thought those were automatically generated by Steam "learning" about the game, like you see on some that just got their store page up.
