Holy heck, what a goldmine this thing is.

I decided to buy one so I could play Windwaker HD and Twilight Princess HD since Nintendo doesn’t seem like they’re going to remaster them for the Switch.

Found one at my local pawn shop for $120 Canadian in excellent condition (that’s about $87 USD), and picked up a copy of both WW HD and TP HD. Having a blast playing through them, and then I discovered homebrewing.

I had no idea the Wii U was capable of playing native GC games.. currently playing through some of my old GC favourites like Simpsons Hit and Run, Spider Man 2 and THUG comfortably and portably throughout the house on the gamepad.

Blows my mind the sheer functionality this thing offers while ALSO being natively BC with the Wii as well..

This thing is really underrated and since it had such a short life cycle, I’m surprised they aren’t more rare/expensive. I will admit the Zelda games I bought were pretty expensive but the console itself I’d argue is pretty cheap

You can also stream your 3ds to it and use the gamepad to control it on the tv!

they aren’t that common, but then neither are buyers. most people who want a wii u have one, most people who don’t won’t be swayed, and some people *still* don’t know it’s a different console from the wii
