Horizon zero dawn and forbidden west. I’ll scream it from the rooftops. They’re so interesting and different from other stories and it really captivated me. I literally can’t think of another piece of media that covers the POST post apocalypse and they knocked it out of the park.

Horizon, Spider-Man, Arkham games, Watch_Dogs and Just Cause are my favorite open world series although not all of the Arkham games are open world. GTA, Ghost of Tsushima, and Days Gone are also great suggestions. Many of the Assassin’s Creed games are also open world but not absolutely all of them.
